About
Dear Cataldo Community,
Every single day I feel proud to be a part of this school. As I walk the sidewalk to the front door, it is not lost on me that serving as your principal is a true privilege. I feel pride wearing my Cataldo gear around town, and one of my favorite experiences is often meeting a graduate, or the parent of a graduate from long ago, who introduces themselves because they see our name on my shirt. Though we may not know each other, we are immediately connected by a shared story. The school I experience now is what it is because of their dedication, and who we are and what we choose to do today will be felt by the people who come after us.
What we do here is different, and what we do is special.
We are a school of strong academics that seamlessly weaves in deep character development and operates within a vibrant community of faith. This distinctive Cataldo experience ensures we produce truly well-rounded students—young men and women equipped not just for academic success in high school and beyond, but for lives of purpose and leadership. Our graduates leave with intellectual curiosity, strong moral integrity, and the spiritual confidence to make a positive impact on the world, prepared to thrive because they have been taught how to learn and how to serve.
Gifts from our community allow us to continue to make Cataldo the rare place that it is. At Cataldo, tuition covers the expense of all faculty and staff salaries and benefits. Everything else—our essential operational expenses, community events, textbooks, technology upgrades, supplies, and all that completes the overall experience of a student and family at our school—comes from the support of our fundraising.
This is precisely why the success of our Day of Giving on Tuesday, November 25th is pivotal to the ongoing success of our school. Your support helps us complete the experience we promise to every family.
As our Day of Giving approaches, I ask that you reflect upon four truths I know about Cataldo:
No school has teachers and staff members going above and beyond their job descriptions to provide more for our students than we do.
No school makes better use of every single inch of their campus than we do.
No school stretches a dollar as much as we do.
And the most important truth: No school has the community of involved and supportive families that we do.
We ask you to take a moment to think about all of the aspects of our school that make it special and please consider making a donation or pledge today to continue the legacy of excellence at Cataldo Catholic School.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Zack Cunningham
Principal
